Serena William is not the first one to lose her temper at the tennis court.

Here are some other “pearls” of tennis.

In 1981 John McEnroe threw a tantrum in his first round match on Wimbledon against Tom Gullikson.  You don’t know who John McEnroe is? Watch the Youtube video and you know him for the rest of your life.

Don’t miss Goran Ivanisevic, conceded his second round match in Brighton’s Samsung Open in November 2000 after smashing all three of his rackets. I didn’t find that incident on Youtube but this one is a funny alternative:

You can’t miss him. Jimmy Connors  is an oscar winner when it comes down to tantrums and cursing . One example: When a let-call went against the American he challenged the umpires judgment. When he lost a point to American Andy Roddick after someone in the crowd shouted “out” midway through a rally. After the umpire refused to replay the point Rusedski could be heard saying: “I can’t do anything if the f****** crowd calls it. It’s absolutely f****** ridiculous. It’s fr***ing ridiculous.
