These success stories on the internet prove that you don’t need to be a whizzkidd to succeed.  And once you’ve made your million: go on holiday to sunny destinations and you don’t need to worry about money at all.

Here’s the first lucky guy. Blog: Boingboing Frank Frauenfelder is the man  behind Boinboing and can add a million dollars a year with simply writing everyday about the things he loves. That is computer, science fiction, software and comic books. (And about his mother, no sorry, joke). He receives more than 2.6 unique visitors per month and 22 million page views. He’s hired 4 pro writers to write about 20 posts a day so in the mean time he can go to the beach and sail in his speed boat. Well, I would do that.  Pack my bags and go on holiday while the money is rolling into your bank account.   Your Yacht is Waiting for you.  
But first please read the follwoing unbelievable story about another guy (no, not you) who made a million on the internet. Shoemoney. Never heard of that name? Me either. But he’s laughing all the way to the bank, making $20,000 a month by writing about, well , making money online. That sounds familiar to me. A lot of these bloggers making tons of money by pointing out to other bloggers how to make tons of money. Anyway, he certainly knows how to do this and has about 20,000 unique visitors per day. Money comes from Adsense and Self Products how to be successful.   But can he give you advise about a great hairdresser? I don’t think so. Okay, he’s not making a million dollars a year, but the following guy is…. Recognise this guy? One tip: he is not a famous hairdresser

   Talking about a hairdresser  gone mad: the owner of this blog has become almost a celebrity himself. His real name is Mario Lavandeira and began blogging about famous people in 2004. His hard work paid off quit well with a monthly income of $ 110,000 and a year income of more than 1,3 million dollars. With that kind of income you don’t need a bank, you’re the bank your self. But in stead of buying a sailboat and going off to a tropic island he keeps on working on his blog at a daily base. Income source is from advertisement: a banner ad will gonna cost you $13,000 That isn’t much, is it?   

 Sunny Island: something for you? If I would be Paris and make that kind of money with a blog I would go off to a fantastic holiday destination

This blogger began in 2003 and writes about all kinds of subjects that relates to the great city of New York. I think if you live there you don’t need to go on holiday if you would believe his blog. Makes about $600,000 a year Okay, it’s not a million a year, but he’s on his way in getting to that status.

      Making money with blogging: total freedom! Of course a great sailboat would help.  

Here’s another blogger who makes more than a million a year just by sitting behind his notebook or computer and writing stuff he likes to write about. With 4 million page views each and every month he makes almost 2 million dollars a year. If he wants to have loan from his bank he can get it right away, but I don’t think he needs a loan. Simply write a post on his blog Mashable and he has it immediately on his bank account.

Darren Rowse is another guy who makes money online by advising people how to make money online. But he disappoints me a bit with a meager $100,000 a year. I won’t quit my daily job at Mc Donalds for that! Come on, Darren, next year you can too sell your house and sail the oceans in your private yacht. Okay, that’s  my dream, because that’s what’s so great about making money on the internet: you can write your money making stuff everywhere in the world! While the Pacific Ocean is tickling at your toes you can write your blog, upload it and another cheque is in the post. Let’s face it: your life can be a holiday experience 360 days a year. No really, internet can make your dream come true. Just take a look at these guys. They don’t have anything special about them, except that most of them look tired but the advantages are great: lots of money and easy work which can be done anywhere in the world, you only need a computer or notebook and a internet connection. They have that even on the remotest sunny islands!  And you are your own boss, making money from your own home. Or hotel. Or yacht!      And what’s great about having your own successful blog on the net is you can work on it everywhere in the world.

THE super-rich residents of St Bart’s, in the Caribbean, might be excused for feeling a little sheepish when they welcome their new neighbour to their midst.

Russian oil baron Roman Abramovich, who has just bought a $US90 million 28ha spread on the exclusive island, is one of the world’s busiest and most glamorous billionaires.

The Wall Street Journal describes him as “a world-class consumer of expensive things”, most notably a fleet of yachts: the 377ft Pelorus, 282ft Ecstasea (based in the Mediterranean) and his latest, the extraordinarily huge 540ft Eclipse, the world’s biggest private yacht, which is in the final stages of construction by German ship builder Blohm & Voss. Insiders say Eclipse has two helipads, a swimming pool, bulletproof glass, a steam room and a personal submarine. Its price is estimated at $US300 million ($345 million).

He also has an extensive art collection. In May, he went on a £60 million spending spree at Christies and Sotheby’s in New York, picking up Lucian Freud’s Benefits Supervisor Sleeping for £17 million and Francis Bacon’s Triptych (1976) for £43 million.

His properties include a primary residence in Moscow, homes in London, the Chateau de la Croë on the French Riviera and two homes in Colorado worth a collective $US48 million ($55 million).

The woman, 60-year-old Zhou Juchang (she might be from China), made the claim after winding up at the bottom of a seven-metre rockface, fracturing her hip and breaking three ribs.

Now she’s suing her travel agent (and rightly so), who organised her trip into China’s Chengdu Wildlife Park.

The gorilla allegedly flew into a rage when the woman refused to hand over the bag of monkey food which her tour guide recommended she buy. (The report is not clear WHY she didn’t want to give it to King Kong in the first place. Perhaps she wanted to give the monkey food to another gorilla she fancied more. Nobody knows.)

A spokesman for the park said the woman’s mistake was showing fear.

“If you show fear a monkey will bully you,” he told the London’s Metro.

King Kong refused to give any comment.

Tips on how to deal when you encounter a gorilla:

1. Never show fear.

2. Hand over you bag with monkey food. Btw. Banana is a great alternative.

3. ALWAYS sue you travel agent when attacked by a gorilla!

He crossed FIVE LANES of traffic unhurt, plodding along regardless as vehicles drove over the top of him.

Freeway was only rescued when driver John Formby spotted him and pulled over to pick up the slow coach.

Incredibly, he escaped without a scratch.

John, 43, from Worthing, West Sussex, UK said: “I saw this bundle in the road and thought it was a bit of debris.

“I went to swerve it but noticed it was moving - then saw it had a head.

“I couldn’t believe it was a tortoise crossing the motorway, through traffic travelling at 70mph.

“I pulled over and ran 400 yards back up the road to get it.

“I was holding my breath as it came from the central reservation towards the hard shoulder.

“Three vehicles went right over the top of it but somehow missed it. It didn’t even pop back into its shell, just kept on walking as if it knew it had to get to the other side.”

He ran out and picked him up in the slow lane, and stopped off to buy him lunch of lettuce and tomato.

John then drove him to an animal centre near his home, where vets found he had been microchipped — in America.

Billy Elliot, of the Worthing and District Animal Sanctuary, said: “That explained why he was on the wrong side of the road.

“We have named him Freeway for now, the American word for motorway.”

Freeway was found on the junction of the M25 and M23 (England).

Billy said: “People always think of tortoises as slow, but turn your back on them and they can disappear before you know it.

“About this time of year he might have been off looking for a mate.

“It’s a miracle he survived. He could have been on the road for a long time before he was picked up.

“It was the busiest time of the day on one of the busiest roads in the country. He couldn’t have picked a worse place to go for a stroll.”

Freeway, a Hermann’s tortoise, thought to be about ten-years-old, is being cared for by vets for the weekend while Billy tries to trace his owners.

Billy said: “Freeway is in very good health and well cared for. He has obviously been brought over from America as a pet so there must be a family out there missing him.

“He is likely to live another 50 or 60 years. We would love to find the family.

“Whenever we get an exotic pet handed over we get dozens of calls from people claiming it is theirs so it’s great he is chipped.

“It just shows how important it is to keep your details up to date on your pet’s chip database when you move house or change your phone number.”

John, a building site engineer, said: “I hope Freeway is reunited with his owner but if not I have offered to give him a home.

“I found a tortoise in a cemetery as a kid long before microchips and he was a lovely pet.”

Analysing forgotten cigarette butts in a small village in Lower Austria, a used paper napkin in a New York fast food restaurant and the seals of letters sent over 30 years ago from northern France, Marc Vermeeren and Jean-Paul Mulders say they have traced all known living relatives of the Fuehrer for the first time.

As well as three living in America, whose existence has been reported on before, they also claim to have tracked down 36 others who still live in the wooded area of Austria where Hitler was born.

Although the researchers claim to have carried out an extensive investigation, their information has not been independently verified.

They have also been somewhat sketchy on the details of their methods.

However, Vermeeren, a Belgian customs official, and Mulders a journalist, say three great-grandchildren of Hitler’s father Alois live on Long Island, outside New York, under the false name Stuart-Houston.

They are descendants who left Germany to escape the Nazis.

Louis and Brian Stuart-Houston share a little wooden house in East Patchogue, where they work as gardeners, while Alexander is a retired psychologist who helps veterans of another war - Vietnam.

The Belgians said they watched them for seven days and night, following 60-year-old Alexander to a fast-food restaurant where he disposed of a paper napkin after eating fried chicken which they retrieved and later matched up with ‘DNA of Hitler that we keep in a sealed, armoured chest,’ according to Mulders.

The cigarette butts came from Hitler relatives in Austria, they said, but did not elaborate on the alleged DNA found on the stamps from France nor how they came into their possession.

‘The American relatives have agreed not to have children to extinguish the saga of Hitler and stop living in fear, but have promised to publish a book before they die,’ said Mulders, who works for Belgian newspaper Het Laaste Nieuws.

Marc Vermeeren, 51, said the Hitler relatives living in lower Austria try to hide their lineage by changing their names to Hüttler, Hietler, Hiedler or Hütler - regular names that ‘litter the Austrian telephone directory’.

‘All Hüttler living in the Waldviertel region are distant descendants of Hitler, although many of them do not even know, as it was their parents or grandparents who changed the name and never told them,’ said Vermeeren. 

‘None of the descendants has a resemblance to Adolf.’

FASCINATING STORY ABOUT THE MYSTERIES OF THE MIND

Much of what we don’t understand about being human is simply in our heads.  Even though science continues to give us ever increasing insights into what memory is, much of it remains a mystery. Researchers consider memory a process, and when you remember you are actually reconstructing the event from bits of information stored in various parts of the brain…  But the mystery is, what initiates the reconstruction? The brain is a befuddling organ, as are the very questions of life and death, consciousness, sleep, and much more. Is it, as some suggest, directed from outside the physical body, from the energy body? That remains to be seen. Here are some examples of the mysteries of our mind.

Dreams

Dreams are a mystery of the mind that everyone has experienced. Quite likely, most individuals have also pondered the meaning of their dreams. Dreams are a series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, that’s because scientists are still unraveling this mystery. One possibility: Dreaming exercises the brain by stimulating the trafficking of synapses between brain cells. Another theory is that people dream about tasks and emotions that they didn’t take care of during the day, and that the process can help solidify thoughts and memories. Analyzed as portents of the future and windows to the subconscious, dreams have fascinated human beings since the dawn of recorded history. Their purpose, from a strictly cognitive point of view, remains a puzzle. In general, scientists agree that dreaming happens during your deepest sleep, called Rapid Eye Movement.
Memory

Some experiences are hard to forget. Memory is the ability to retain and to recall personal experiences, information, and various skills and habits. But how does a person hold onto these personal movies? Using brain-imaging techniques, scientists are unraveling the mechanism responsible for creating and storing memories. They are finding that the hippocampus, within the brain’s gray matter, could act as a memory box. But this storage area isn’t so discriminatory. While memory is easy to define, there is no agreement among researchers to explain how it works, and scientists have not yet established a model for the actual mechanics of memory that is consistent with the subjective nature of consciousness. In psychology, memory is an organism’s mental ability to store, retain and recall information. Traditional studies of memory began in the fields of philosophy, including techniques of artificially enhancing the memory.

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder. It is a strong, irrational fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. There are many specific phobias from certain situations, activities, things, or people.   People with phobias try to avoid what they are afraid of. A phobia may develop from an unpleasant childhood memory. Psychologists have categorized as many as 500 phobias, and according to the estimates of some health professionals, as many as 50 million individuals in the United States suffer from some kind of phobia. While the causes of phobias remain unknown and open to much speculation, some of the most frequent theories name biological, chemical, cultural, and psychological origins—or a mix of the four. Health care professionals stress that the most important thing for people with phobias to remember is that phobic disorders respond well to treatment and a phobia is not something that they must continue to endure.
Laughter

Laughter is one of the least understood of human behaviors. In addition to the domino effect of joy and amusement, laughter also triggers healthy physical changes in the body. Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.  Scientists have found that during a good laugh three parts of the brain light up: a thinking part that helps you get the joke, a movement area that tells your muscles to move, and an emotional region that elicits the “giddy” feeling. But it remains unknown why one person laughs at your brother’s foolish jokes while another chuckles while watching a horror movie. John Morreall, who is a pioneer of humor research at the College of William and Mary, has found that laughter is a playful response to incongruities – stories that disobey conventional expectations. Others in the humor field point to laughter as a way of signaling to another person that this action is meant “in fun.” One thing is clear: Laughter makes us feel better.
Consciousness

Consciousness is subjective experience or awareness or wakefulness or the executive control system of the mind. Perhaps no aspect of mind is more familiar or more puzzling than consciousness and our conscious experience of self and world. The problem of consciousness is arguably the central issue in current theorizing about the mind. Despite the lack of any agreed upon theory of consciousness, there is a widespread, if less than universal, consensus that an adequate account of mind requires a clear understanding of it and its place in nature. We need to understand both what consciousness is and how it relates to other, nonconscious, aspects of reality. An altered state of consciousness is a brain state wherein one loses the sense of identity with one’s body or with one’s normal sense perceptions. A person may enter an altered state of consciousness through such things as sensory deprivation or overload, neurochemical imbalance, fever, or trauma. The greatest brainteaser in this field has been to explain how processes in the brain give rise to subjective experiences. So far, scientists have managed to develop a great list of questions.

Why do humans age? You are born with a robust toolbox full of mechanisms to fight disease and injury, which you might think should arm you against stiff joints and other ailments. But as we age, the body’s repair mechanisms get out of shape. In effect, your resilience to physical injury and stress declines. Theories for why people age can be divided into two categories: 1) Like other human characteristics, aging could just be a part of human genetics and is somehow beneficial. 2) In the less optimistic view, aging has no purpose and results from cellular damage that occurs over a person’s lifetime. The leaves instantly turn to a concave, as if the tennis ball is popped back to normal. The edges come together, trapping the insect inside. Applied mathematics Prof. Lakshminarayanan Mahadevan of Harvard University and his team were able to follow the leaf action by painting dozens of fluorescent ultraviolet dots on the leaves. They then filmed the leaves using a high-speed camera sensitive to UV to watch the leaves change shape during a snap. How the plant seems to actively control the change in curvature within its leaves remains a mystery, but the study shows elastic strain plays a role in the process.

Seymour the Venus Fly trap may look scary, but he really makes a great pet. His jaws move super-fast and bite anything that falls inside them. A Venus Fly trap can eat all kinds of bugs, flies and insects, but you should be safe!
