    Ha. I had that drawing book when I was a kid. I could be mistaken, but I don’t think it was published by Disney. If I recall, it had guides for drawing all sorts of cartoon characters. (Notice the kitty looks more Hanna Barbara than Disney.)

    Also, the book even had a section on animation and what mouth shapes to use for different sounds.

    It is from Preston Blair animation book - he worked for Disney, but this isn’t necessarily “Disney” definition of cute.

    Sorry M, but you’re completely wrong on that one.

    The cat featured on this isn’t that of an Aristocat character but a Hanna Barbera creation of ‘Toots’ from Tom and Jerry.

    Toots was in the episode ‘Puss n’ Toots’ released May 30, 1942 whilst Aristocats wasn’t released until December 24, 1970.

    If you take a look at this picture (below) you will notice the ears, eyelashes, bow on the head are exactly the same :
